Baseball Game Preview: Clover Blue Eagles vs. Catawba Ridge Copperheads

For the second straight game, Clover will face off against Catawba Ridge. The Blue Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Copperheads at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Clover's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Catawba Ridge on Wednesday. The Blue Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clover saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Marano, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Catawba Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Clover, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.
