Football Recap: Aurora East Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

Aurora East had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 41-22 win over the Maine East Blue Demons. The Tomcats pushed the score to 41-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Demons cut but never quite recovered from.

Maine East lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Emil Rafidi, who rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 16 yards and one TD.

Aurora East will face off against Glenbard South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maine East, they will challenge Round Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
