Football Game Preview: South Plantation Paladins vs. Cypress Bay Lightning

The South Plantation Paladins will head out to square off against the Cypress Bay Lightning at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (South Plantation 12.8, Cypress Bay 4.8) so any points scored will be well earned.

South Plantation's offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against Everglades on Monday. They fell 13-0 to the Gators. Having soared to a lofty 33 points in the game before, the Paladins' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Cypress Bay never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They didn't even let Pembroke Pines Charter on the board, marking Cypress Bay's second-straight 6-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lightning.

Cypress Bay's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for South Plantation, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

South Plantation suffered a grim 27-7 defeat to Cypress Bay in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can South Plantation avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
