Basketball Recap: Ector Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Ector faced off against Fannindel on Tuesday. The Ector Eagles were outmatched by the Fannindel Falcons and fell 67-36. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Fannindel found their leader in freshman Kor'Ziareona Aubrey, who went 13 of 27 on her way to 30 points along with seven boards and seven steals. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which Aubrey has scored at least a third of Fannindel's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Korshonti Aubrey, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points along with seven boards and five assists.

Ector's loss dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Fannindel, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16.

Ector will venture away from home to challenge Dodd City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fannindel, they will host Campbell at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
