Basketball Recap: Felagai Laumea Key Part of a Team Effort in Shaman Win

Chaputnguak saw some tournament action on Thursday. They came out on top against the Kalskag Grizzly Bears by a score of 69-58.

Chaputnguak got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Felagai Laumea out in front who posted 22 points. Another player making a difference was Placid John, who put up 20 points.

Chaputnguak's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Kalskag, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Chaputnguak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-39 loss against Aniak on the 7th. As for Kalskag, they have also already played their next matchup, an 87-51 defeat against Nelson Island on the 7th.
