Baseball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

After flying high against Spring Woods last Tuesday, Austin came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell 10-5 to the Tigers on Friday. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 13-0.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Spring Woods, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-11 record this season.

Austin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Waltrip on the 9th. As for Spring Woods, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Madison on the 8th.
