Volleyball Recap: Alton Comes Up Short

Alton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the O'Fallon Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redbirds of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16.

Alton's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for O'Fallon, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Alton has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Belleville East on the 10th. As for O'Fallon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Howell Central on the 9th.
