Baseball Recap: Palisade Comes Up Short

Palisade lost against Ponderosa back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Palisade Bulldogs took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ponderosa Mustangs. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly three runs.

Palisade got a big performance out of Dylon Larson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Larson posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Hunter Howard was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Palisade's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ponderosa, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Palisade wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-3 win against Palmer Ridge on the 8th. As for Ponderosa, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-9 victory against Grand Junction Central on the 8th.
