Baseball Recap: Cross Plains Comes Up Short

Cross Plains was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the May Tigers, falling 14-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-1 loss back in March.

Tyler Mackey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Cross Plains' defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for May, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0-2.

While Cross Plains had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
