Baseball Recap: Portage Comes Up Short

Portage fell victim to Reedsburg and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Beavers. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Beavers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Portage's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Reedsburg, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-4.

Portage wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-7 win against Cambridge on the 17th. As for Reedsburg, they will challenge McFarland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Beavers 2.5, the Spartans 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
