Soccer Game Preview: Handley vs. Blacksburg

The Handley Judges will square off against the Blacksburg Bruins on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Handley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Orange County by a score of 4-2. The result kept Handley happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 29th.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Blacksburg ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Jefferson Forest 2-1. Winning may never get old, but Blacksburg sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Erin Bishop and Addison McSorley scored both of Blacksburg's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 33 goals.

Handley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven matches. As for Blacksburg, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-2.
