Basketball Recap: Timpanogos Timberwolves vs. Summit Academy Bears
Timpanogos proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 50) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Summit Academy Bears, sneaking past 47-44. While the Timberwolves didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Summit Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reagan Morgan, who went 7 for 17 on her way to 17 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Morgan a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kita Holmes, who posted 14 points and six rebounds.
