Soccer Game Preview: Evanston vs. Lane Tech

Evanston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let Whitney Young get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Evanston haven't had any issues with Whitney Young recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Lane Tech came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.4 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Eagles. It was an even better day for Grace Carman as she scored three goals for her team.

Lane Tech's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those nine matchups. As for Evanston, their win bumped their record up to 11-4-4.
