Softball Recap: Philo Takes a Loss

If Philo was riding high fresh off their 17-7 takedown of Morgan on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Electrics fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Electrics were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 17-7.

Karlee Southall was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Philo now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Morgan, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Philo will host Coshocton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Electrics are facing the Redskins at the right time seeing as the Redskins are stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Morgan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Meadowbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Colts' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
