Preview: Katella Knights vs. Garden Grove Argonauts
Two dominant players in Dillon Curtis and Drue Anzai are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Katella Knights will be playing at home against the Garden Grove Argonauts at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
Katella pushed their score all the way to 70 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 84-70 bruising from Westminster. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Friday (61), Katella still had to take the loss.
Garden Grove can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They snuck past Segerstrom with a 47-42 victory. The victory was just what Garden Grove needed coming off of a 68-47 loss in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Garden Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Juarez, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Anzai was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Katella's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Garden Grove, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-16.
Katella didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Garden Grove in their previous matchup on January 9th, but they still walked away with a 59-55 win. Will Katella repeat their success, or does Garden Grove have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
