Preview: Panorama Pythons vs. San Fernando Tigers

Panorama is 0-10 against San Fernando since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Panorama Pythons will head out on the road to face off against the San Fernando Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Panorama struggled with assists on Friday (Sylmar had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Panorama was beaten by Sylmar 74-36. Panorama has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Panorama's loss came about despite a quality game from Eduardo Munguia, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alan Rodriguez , who scored six points.

Meanwhile, San Fernando's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 87-38 defeat at the hands of Sylmar. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for San Fernando in their matchups with Sylmar: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, San Fernando saw an underclassman step up: Gavin Reyes scored 19 points. Reyes also scored 15+ points for the first time this season. Isaiah Cabrera was another key contributor, scoring seven points.

Panorama's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for San Fernando, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Thursday's game is shaping up to be a scrappy matchup: Panorama have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 28.5 rebounds per game. It's a different story for San Fernando, though, as they've been averaging only 3.5 rebounds per game. Given Panorama's sizeable advantage in that area, San Fernando will need to find a way to close that gap.

Panorama suffered a grim 58-35 defeat to San Fernando in their previous meeting back in January. Can Panorama avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
