Laurel extended their postseason success on Friday against Stone. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Tomcats 24-21. The win was nothing new for the Golden Tornadoes as they're now sitting on six straight.

Stone lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ayden Green, who rushed for 113 yards and one score. Zander Howard was another key player, rushing for 42 yards and one TD.

The victory got Laurel back to even at 6-6. As for Stone, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Laurel is taking a road trip to square off against Brookhaven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 10.2 points per game this season, so the Golden Tornadoes' offense will have their work cut out for them. Stone does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
