Baseball Recap: Utica Ford Comes Up Short

Utica Ford had lost five straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 14-9-1 to make it six. They fell just short of the Sterling Heights Stevenson Titans by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Falcons have suffered since May 7, 2024.

As for Sterling Heights Stevenson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-8. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For Sterling Heights Stevenson's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Leonard, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. John Lonsway was another, earning one run and two stolen bases.
