Softball Preview: South Lake Eagles vs. Pasco Pirates
The South Lake Eagles will take on the Pasco Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Lake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
South Lake was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against West Port on Tuesday. South Lake was the clear victor by a 19-3 margin over West Port. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Zoie Rogers looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Makiah Palacio was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Stone, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
