Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sonoma Valley). They put the hurt on the Justin-Siena Braves with a sharp 18-5 victory on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Dragons with their most commanding win of the season.

Delilah Olivier was incredible, firing off two home runs and eight RBI while going 3-for-5. Those eight RBI gave her a new career-high. Ellie Llanos also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Sonoma Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .698. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Sonoma Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Justin-Siena, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Sonoma Valley and Justin-Siena could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Dragons (ranked 707th) will meet Casa Grande (ranked 126th) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Justin-Siena will take on Vintage at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (823 vs. 134).
