 Thurston had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.4 runs), and they went ahead and made it 12 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Eagle Point Eagles out  10-8. That's more bragging rights for Thurston, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 The team  relied heavily on  Bailey Tovey, who  went 4-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and a  triple.  Kassy Anderson was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 On Eagle Point's side,  Kady Lindstrom made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Baylee Mullen, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Even though they lost, Eagle Point  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thurston struck out five times.
 Thurston is  on a roll lately: they've  won 13 of their last 15 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-6-1 record  this season. As for Eagle Point, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 14-8.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thurston will  challenge Crater at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Crater is on a four-game streak of home wins, Thurston a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. As for Eagle Point, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Springfield at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
