Volleyball Game Preview: West Broward Bobcats vs. Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs

The West Broward Bobcats will challenge the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

West Broward is leaving town to face Cardinal Gibbons after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. West Broward fell just short of Western by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Gibbons had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against Western by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Chiefs in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Cardinal Gibbons walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-13, 23-25, 25-21.

West Broward was able to grind out a solid victory over Cardinal Gibbons in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Broward since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
