Volleyball Recap: Lodi Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lodi lost against Lakeside Lutheran back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Lodi actually scored more points across those five sets (100-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 12-25, 17-25, 15-13.

Brielle Burros paced Lodi's offense, picking up 14 kills. Burros got some help from Ella Best and her 21 assists. Best was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Lakeside Lutheran's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ivy Buchholz, who had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Buchholz has posted over her last seven matchups.

Lodi's loss dropped their record down to 16-16. As for Lakeside Lutheran, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-22.

Lodi has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Waupun on the 16th. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Columbus on the 16th.
