Recap: Riverdale Warriors vs. North Cobb Christian Eagles
On Thursday, Riverdale was beaten by North Cobb Christian 82-47. While losing is never fun, Riverdale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 253rd in Tennessee, while North Cobb Christian is ranked 107th in Georgia).
North Cobb Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabe Bolden, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Bass bonner, who scored 18 points.
Riverdale has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for North Cobb Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
Riverdale won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cass at 1:00 p.m. on December 29th. North Cobb Christian is on the road again on Thursday and play against Riverdale at 10:30 a.m. on December 28th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Masiah Jones and Bolden.
