Softball Recap: Stafford Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Stafford made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Royal, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went the Stafford Spartans' way against the Royal Falcons on Saturday as the Stafford Spartans made off with a 19-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Noehli Torres, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Nayeli Rebuelta, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Stafford hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in four consecutive matches.

Stafford's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-4-1. As for Royal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6-1.
