Volleyball Recap: Hawthorne Math & Science Academy Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Samueli Academy, Hawthorne Math & Science Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the New Roads Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Aviators haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hawthorne Math & Science Academy took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-12, 25-15.

Hawthorne Math & Science Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8. As for New Roads, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
