Softball Game Preview: Waukesha West Wolverines vs. Badger Badgers

The Waukesha West Wolverines will take on the Badger Badgers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Badger took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Waukesha West, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Waukesha West got the win against Divine Savior Holy Angels by a conclusive 15-3.

Amelia Carlson was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Kahle, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Waukesha West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.

Meanwhile, Badger lost 11-2 to Union Grove on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Badgers in their meetings with the Broncos: they've now lost eight in a row.

Badger saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danyelle Challe, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The win got Waukesha West back to even at 1-1. As for Badger, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
