Basketball Recap: Carrboro Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Carrboro lost against Chapel Hill back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jaguars took a blow against the Tigers, falling 60-31. The Jaguars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-12.

Scarlett Gilner had another great game (as she tends to do), putting up ten points in addition to eight steals and seven rebounds for Chapel Hill. Gilner is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Stephanie Proano, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 12 points and four steals.

Carrboro is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Chapel Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Carrboro will challenge Riverside-Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chapel Hill, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 44-43 defeat against Hough on the 6th.
