Baseball Recap: Eastside Catholic Has No Trouble Against Everett

Eastside Catholic got themselves on the board against Everett on Saturday, but Everett never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Seagulls. The Crusaders not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22, 2024.

Xavier Padilla tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Eastside Catholic let Ryan Long and Tyler Long run wild. Ryan scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Tyler scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Schock, who scored a run and stole a base.

Eastside Catholic now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Everett, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Eastside Catholic will take on Bishop Blanchet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bishop Blanchet will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Eastside Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. As for Everett, they will challenge Marysville Getchell at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
