Volleyball Recap: Montrose Takes Down Ranked Eaton

Montrose faced Eaton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Red Hawks put the hurt on the Reds with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Red Hawks were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Reds, so the Red Hawks were just returning the favor.

Maggie Legg paced Montrose's offense, picking up 13 kills. Legg got some help from Lilly Nelson and her 30 assists. Nelson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Montrose's record now sits at 20-2. As for Eaton, their loss dropped their record down to 19-3.

Montrose wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Rock Canyon on the 1st. As for Eaton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Legend on the 1st.
