Juniata Valley took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They skirted past the Mount Union Trojans 3-2. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Juniata Valley was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 20-25, 24-26, 25-15, 15-13.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lily Hicks, who had six digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Tenly Huffnagle, who had nine digs, five kills, and four aces.

Juniata Valley has already played their next matchup (against Bellwood-Antis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mount Union, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Curwensville on the 26th.
