Softball Recap: Grayling Comes Up Short

Grayling managed to slip by Elk Rapids the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings lost 16-1 to the Elks on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.

Grayling has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Elk Rapids, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 24-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Elks beat Grayling by a score of 16-1 later that day.
