Volleyball Recap: Stoneman Douglas Beats Northeast for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Stoneman Douglas had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Northeast Hurricanes with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Stoneman Douglas was: they took every set by at least 19 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-6, 25-5.

Stoneman Douglas' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grace Pulsifer led the charge by getting 21 assists and seven aces. Pulsifer is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Olive Smith was another key player, getting nine aces.

They weren't the only good server: Stoneman Douglas was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 35 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in three consecutive games.

Stoneman Douglas' record now sits at 5-0. As for Northeast, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
