Clarksville is a perfect 10-0 against West Creek since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Clarksville will challenge West Creek at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Clarksville has three straight wins, West Creek has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Clarksville had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Northeast on Thursday. Clarksville put the hurt on Northeast with a sharp 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, West Creek fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Northwest on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 17-8 to the Vikings.

Aubrey Coleman and Paityn Swift did some serious damage despite the final result: Coleman went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double, while Swift went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs Swift has posted since back in March of 2024. Alexis Reney also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Clarksville's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. As for West Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Everything went Clarksville's way against West Creek in their previous meeting last Monday, as Clarksville made off with an 18-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clarksville since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
