Soccer Game Preview: Lebanon vs. Tipton

The Lebanon Tigers will head out to face off against the Tipton Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Lebanon put up the most goals they have all season on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Frankfort a 7-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for Lebanon in their matchups with Frankfort: they've now won nine in a row.

Lebanon's offense was hitting Frankfort from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Autumn Jones led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Tipton made easy work of Muncie Central on Tuesday and carried off an 8-0 win. Considering Tipton have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Tipton now has a winning record of 9-8-1. As for Lebanon, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3-2.

Lebanon beat Tipton 5-3 when the teams last played back in August. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
