She made what is believed a state-record 121 3-pointers.

After averaging 20 points, 16 rebounds and 3.8 blocks per game for the Tigers, Gilbert was one of the top players at the McDonald’s All-American game with 15 points and five steals leading the West to an 84-75 victory.

Finished off brilliant career with one of the biggest upsets in California history with 55-42 win over No. 4 nationally-ranked Long Beach Poly, which was after its fifth straight state crown. James had 26 points in the victory and finished with averages of 22.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.5 steals per game.
Meighan Simmons, Steele (Cibolo, Texas)

Headed to: Tennessee
An absolute blur, Simmons averaged 24.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.0 steals per game for the 35-5 Knights, who finished ranked No. 34 in the state. Simmons came off the bench and led the West to an 84-75 victory in the McDonald’s All-American game. She had 21 points in 14 minutes.
Elizabeth Williams, Princess Anne (Virginia Beach, Va.)

Generally regarded as one of the top two in her class, Williams led the Cavaliers to a 29-2 record and spot in the state finals. She averaged 16.9 points, 11.1 rebounds, 5.5 blocks and shot 51 percent from the floor.

A powerful force in the block, Dolson absolutely dominated play while averaging 23.9 points, 17.2 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 5.2 blocks per game. She finished with 1,951 points and 1,607 rebounds in her prep career.
Maggie Lucas, Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, Pa.)

One of the top shooters in the country, Lucas averaged 23.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game while leading the Patriots to a 23-4 season and No. 3 overall state ranking. She finished her career with 2,195 points and won the McDonald’s All-American 3-point contest.
Ariel Massengale, Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, Ill.)

One of the nation’s top juniors, Massengale led Bolingbrook to another state title, this one was with a 60-50 win over No. 13 Young. Massengale took over with 18 points and for the season averaged better than 15 points and six assists per game.

A game-changer, Williams averaged 11.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and 8.7 blocks per game for the 24-1 Yellowjackets, who finished second in the state and No. 28 nationally.

Makes up for her lack of size with a quick burst as she displayed during another state-title run. She averaged 22.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.7 steals a game for the 27-5 Gaels.
Kayla McBride, Villa Maria Academy (Erie, Pa.)

Headed to: Notre Dame
McBride did it all for the Victors (28-2), who won the 2A state title with a 52-44 over York Catholic. In the title game she had 29 points and 11 rebounds and finished with averages of 21.0 points, 11.8 rebounds and 5.6 steals per game.
Hallie Peters, Peddie (Hightstown, N.J.)

Headed to: Duke
After an appearance in the McDonald’s All-American game, Peters led Peddie to the championship of the National High School Invitational in Baltimore and a 25-2 overall record. She averaged 18.6 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. The Falcons No. 20 in the nation and No. 1 in New Jersey according to the MaxPreps Freeman rankings.

Won the state’s Mrs. Basketball award while leading Vandebilt Catholic to its first Class 4A state title. She had 24 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks and three assists in the title victory, a 70-51 decision over Jennings. She averaged 16.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.
