Lyons came tearing into Saturday's matchup with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Gananda Central Blue Panthers by a score of 5-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-5 on May 1st.

Lyons pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Gananda Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Lyons will face off against Red Creek at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Gananda Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
