Baseball Recap: B-G-M Comes Up Short

B-G-M and Lynnville-Sully pushed the score to 19-0 the last time they played Lynnville-Sully, but on Monday defenses reigned supreme. The Bears fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-1. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in June of 2024.

B-G-M's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Lynnville-Sully, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 10-0.

Coming up, B-G-M will challenge Colfax-Mingo at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigerhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.88 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. Lynnville-Sully has already played their next matchup (against Albia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
