Football Recap: Elbert Comes Up Short

Elbert and McClave squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Elbert had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 47-22. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Conner Rhoades threw for 246 yards and two TDs. Eli Cornell was his top target, picking up 134 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Elbert's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for McClave, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Elbert does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McClave, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Norwood at 1:00 p.m. The Cardinals will need to watch out since the Mavericks have now posted at least 31 points in their last five games.
