Basketball Recap: Trevor Barrenchea and Fenn Mackedon Secure Win for Oasis Academy

There's no place like home for Oasis Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 48-37 win over the Silver Stage Nighthawks on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Bighorns, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Oasis Academy to victory were Fenn Mackedon and Trevor Barrenchea. Mackedon went 6 of 14 en route to 20 points and seven rebounds, while Barrenchea posted 13 points.

Oasis Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-3. As for Silver Stage, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Oasis Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-47 loss against Yerington on the 14th. As for Silver Stage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-29 defeat against Sierra Lutheran on the 13th.
