Volleyball Game Preview: Village Christian Academy Knights vs. Alpha Academy Timberwolves

The Village Christian Academy Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Alpha Academy Timberwolves at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Village Christian Academy has nine straight wins, Alpha Academy has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Monday, Village Christian Academy made easy work of Hoke County and carried off a 3-0 victory.

One reason for the win was Village Christian Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Alpha Academy came up short against Hoke County on Friday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-11, 25-15.

Alpha Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Village Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Everything went Village Christian Academy's way against Alpha Academy in their previous matchup back in March, as Village Christian Academy made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
