Baseball Game Preview: Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils vs. Anderson Prep Academy Jets

The Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils will head out to take on the Anderson Prep Academy Jets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Indianapolis Shortridge is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Indianapolis Shortridge couldn't beat Seton Catholic on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Blue Devils came up short against the Cardinals, falling 22-7. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 3, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Jackson McKinney made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, Anderson Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Indiana School for the Deaf.

Indianapolis Shortridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Anderson Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Indianapolis Shortridge might still be hurting after the 11-5 loss they got from Anderson Prep Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
