Volleyball Game Preview: Appleton City Bulldogs vs. Archie Whirlwinds

Appleton City is 1-8-1 against Archie since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Whirlwinds at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Appleton City came up short against Osceola and fell 3-1. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Indians 25-13 in the first set.

Appleton City started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 13-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Archie entered their tilt with Warsaw on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0.

Appleton City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Archie, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Appleton City couldn't quite get it done against Archie in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
