Basketball Recap: Eminence Skates Past Riverside with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Eminence's strategy against Riverside on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Eminence Eels blew the Riverside Argonauts out of the water with a 48-10 final score. The Eels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Leading Eminence to victory were Sophia Saucerman and Khloee Kirk. Saucerman posted 19 points, while Kirk had 16 points. Saucerman's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Abby Dittemore, who put up six points.

The victory (which was Eminence's third in a row) raised their record to 6-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 45.3 points. As for Riverside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eminence and Victory College Prep will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eminence is facing Victory College Prep at the right time seeing as Victory College Prep is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Riverside will take on Central Christian Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
