Flag Football Recap: Pace Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Pace Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They never let the South Atlanta Hornets get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The Knights' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a point in their last three contests.

One reason for the win was Pace Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Ann Cole Canova was the leader with two.

Pace Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for South Atlanta, they moved to 9-7 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Pace Academy and South Atlanta will both be playing Lithia Springs the next time they take the field. The Knights will host the Leo Lion at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Hornets will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
