Baseball Recap: Poplar Bluff Triumphs

While Poplar Bluff's victory against Kennett wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mules skirted past the Indians 3-1. The Mules haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Brandt Bell, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Marcus Tabanera was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Poplar Bluff now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Kennett, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
