Basketball Recap: King Takes a Loss

King lost against Brenham back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The King Brahmas had to suffer through a 72-44 loss at the hands of the Brenham Cubs. While losing is never fun, the Brahmas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 838th, while the Cubs are ranked 319th).

King has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Brenham, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

King will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cornerstone Christian at 2:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Brenham will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Victoria East at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
