Basketball Game Preview: Glen Allen Jaguars vs. Hylton Bulldogs

The Glen Allen Jaguars are taking a road trip to take on the Hylton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Glen Allen knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Hylton likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Glen Allen challenged Deep Run on Friday. Glen Allen fell to Deep Run 64-58. The Jaguars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the defeat, Glen Allen got top-tier performance from Faron Friend, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Friend's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Rj Mickleberry was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Hylton played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Potomac Senior 90-34. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-17.

Glen Allen's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for Hylton, their defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-15.
