Soccer Game Preview: Edmonds-Woodway vs. Lynnwood

The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors will face off against the Lynnwood Royals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Edmonds-Woodway will be strutting in after a victory while Lynnwood will be coming in after a defeat.

Edmonds-Woodway's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Mountlake Terrace 4-0. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Edmonds-Woodway's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Mountlake Terrace are ranked 123rd).

Meanwhile, Lynnwood fell victim to Kamiak and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. Lynnwood have struggled against Kamiak recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Edmonds-Woodway's win bumped their record up to 6-3-2. As for Lynnwood, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1.

Edmonds-Woodway beat Lynnwood by a goal when the teams last played back in March, winning 2-1. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Royals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
