After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Salem, Roxana was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They escaped with a win against the East Alton-Wood River Oilers by the margin of a single free throw, 47-46. The victory continues a trend for the Shells in their matchups with the Oilers: they've now won eight in a row.

Roxana's win bumped their record up to 13-15. As for East Alton-Wood River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-18.
